The UK's leading Bio-Research Company
ABOUT US
The CIDC was founded September 1, 1952, as the successor to the UK Decease Task Force (DTF) which was put together to combat the effects felt in the UK from the Spanish Flu pandemic 1918 – 1920.
This new agency was set apart from the National Health Service and initially run by a consortium of the Uk’s top scientific minds who were privately funded.
THE TEAM
The CIDC is lucky enough to have some of the greatest scientific minds from around the world working in many different fields.
- Virology, Pathology, Biochemistry, Genetics
In 1988 the CIDC were recognised by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as one of the major players in the containment of a virulent COVID strain. Genetic reprogramming and engineering were brought to the forefront of CIDC operations by a young Dr Thomas Logan and his work led to the engineering of a vaccine that undoubtedly saved millions of lives.
FACILITIES
Top of the range facilities are part of the reason why the CIDC have been able to work so effectively in the field of bio-chemistry.
The Outpost programme has re-purposed many ex-government buildings meaning that the CIDC could focus funds on equipment and staff to great effect.
